guess wat, they r giving me 2k!!!!!!!
yes it's not a big sum of money, but know how important money is today???
2k, i need to work for 60+ hours to get dat...
-i'm so calculative nowadays, hahaha n possessing a 'money face' (directly translated from hokkien)..

u guys wud b wondering, y instead of paying, i'm at d receiving end..
i won an award -dun ask me which 1, i can't remember d name-
can oni remember d best part-receiving 2k during convo...

here comes d not so good part..
i'm asked to attend a press conference..
press conference is for celebrities n super star isnt it?
very awkward for a student to b interviewed n i can't imagine me in front of d cameras..

another thing is dat i'll hav to postpone my class again...
so pity them...

waiting for bus giv me anxiety.....
m'sian bus system neva adhere to d timetable..
can we do sth to combat this????

choosing d appropriate attire for work agitate me too...
must make sure everything is long enuff so it won't b too '[sexy'..
btw, hav i ever wore nething revealing???

if your students stare at u with a blank face, yes it gives me anxiety..
i'm a lil' worry now - wat if my students dun understand wat i tought..
some r smart but some can't even comprehend wat i say in d class *sweat*

when i was asked to c d dean, it got into my nerves...
seriously, i freak out in d middle of d class..
guess wat, it's my dressing...
dresscode is d oni thing i dun realli like here..
apparently they r very rigid on dis matter.. tsk tsk tsk..

when ur 'family' forcing u to eat supper, i got very anxious..
almost every saturday, i m forced to go out n hav supper - try to run away by going to bed early- FAIL, try to do my work on my lappy to show dat i'm busy-FAIL..

it seems that i've abandoned my blog for a very long time..
sob sob.. i dun wan it to b dis way but wat can i do...
failing to blog give me anxiety as well..

My 1st Week in Gombak

-can't think of any interesting title, so just bear wif d boring statement repeated again n again-
half an hour more b4 my next class...

so i shall write sth, dun wana abandon my blog just becoz i was too bz wif work..
i was an invigilator last monday..
can u guys believe it???
1 month ago i was sitting in d big hall doing my exam n now i'm invigilating??
not only dat, i'm setting exam questions!!!!
it can't b too difficult, at d same time not too direct, sounds easy-NO!!!!!

d students r basically ok, they do listen to me though i'm a lil' soft but i can c dat they pay attention when i lecture.. d majority of them is 5 years younger den i m, there's 1 who is 25..
shud i or shud i not giv me number?? some asked for it but i refuse to giv, coz i don't wan them to disturb me when i'm in my 'dreamland' -oh ya, i sleep at 11pm or latest 12am everyday, wake up early too-

i hav a new name!!!! a cantonese version of my name- sook mun!! neva know it sounds nice when my chinese name is converted into cantonese.. my new 'mummy n daddy' called me dat as well as my 'brothers' n 'sister'... altogether i have 3 brothers now (oops, forgot my biological bro-dat means i have 4 now!!!!!!)... d elder 1 is d nottiest among all bcoz everything dat come out from his mouth sounds insulting however it tickles me as well as d others..
today is exactly 1 week, counting from d day i reached gombak!! i met all their family members already which is so so extremely awkward!! i attended two dinners with them, a 70th birthday celebration of their relative which is an Indian.. *sweat*

freak out a lil' when i saw so many people in d house coz i come from a tiny family..
however, i'm happy!!! i fit in perfectly well, my new family is nice n till now, dat homesick bug havent got me..

alright, hav to go now..
gotta miss blogging a lot but working hard n improving my students' english proficiency is my priority now...
wish me luck, i shall make them love english as much as i love it..

1st day in IIC

it's my 1st day here in iic...
i'm not "snaking" k, it's lunch time...

currently i'm stuck in gombak wif a cantonese family, they speak CANTONESE..
i'll b fluent in dat dialect soon but now using mandarin n hokkien to communicate-*slap forehead*- language barrier...
it was a large family, grandparents in d house, aunt, parents n 2 sons..
can't b expecting a 'peaceful' atmosphere-i guess..
basically the house is big, my room too is pretty big..
the oni bad thing is -there's NO INTERNET CONNECTION-
i'm d oni 'child' in d family dat enjoys internet, d others r just too bz earning money..
if i'm really that desperate, i'll get d celcom modem -RM500- n pay RM70 monthly..
*faint* havent get my salary, in fact i dun even know how much i'm getting, already planning wat to buy..

as i'm d oni chinese here, every1 knows me, n they use me as d example for all sorts of thing..
guess i've became d 'limelight' before i start my career..
d staffs here r friendly, n i'll blend myself in asap to avoid homesickness...

d meeting i attended just now was, *fuh* 80% i tarak paham...
last time, during school days-i was terrified of examination, now things r a lil' different, i m invigilating n setting questions for exam which is as terrifying as sitting for exams..

k, got to choazzz now...
another meeting to go in 10 minutes time..

i'm employed

*YEAH* i got d job..
i'll b lecturering in IIUC (international islamic university college) next monday..
i'm proud wif it n i didnt hesitate to accept d job..
i have faith in myself dat i'll do a great job..

so far, i received 2 types of reactions from my frend..
1-very happy for me, encourage me to go for it n work hard..
2-"omg, r u sure u wanna teach there, u'll hav to wear a scarf, u really wana b among them?"
(i despise these ppl though many r my frends, y can't all of us accept d uniqueness of being in dis country; tsk tsk tsk, wake up, don't u realize dat some of d ang mos envy a multi-racial country, so y r we not appreciating it *grrrrr, fed up*)
*sorry* it's a lil' straighforward, no offence..

now, i'm desperate for a room.........
everything happened in a flash, in dis very short time looking for a room seems impossible..
i've sms-ed 3/4 of d ppl in my phonebook who stayed in kl/selangor area (suddenly i'm thick skin, *beh pai seh*)..
urgently need some help from u guys, sms me if u r familiar wif taman batu muda, gombak or taman koperasi fasa 2.. it's best if i can get a room within walking distance... i can't stay at my aunt's place-ampang- as i need to travel there by star line n ktm (which is very slow n unpredictable where every1 tends to avoid taking dat particular train to work)..

i'm glad dat i got d job i favour most but at d same time i'm worried dat i can't get a room..
room-searching would b my 1st challenge in d real world (i sound optimist dis time ain't i as i treat dis as a challenge not as a hindrance)
a new beginning for a new phase of life..
