a softphone (no idea y it is called a softphone, not spongy) has been installed, so now i hav my personal phone, i mean line... woooo hooo, i can call any1 anytime without paying a single sen....
but 1 day after d installation of d phone, a mail entitled 'Charges For Unofficial/ Private Telephone Calls' has been received.. it was a warning, meant to 'notify' us dat staff (meaning, i m included) are required to make payment for all personal / non-work related calls.. so, not very 'wooo hooo' after all... but, i can still receive calls... haha.. anyway, i was so excited, i played softphone wif my neighbour as in she called me n i called her (we can actually hear each other without d phone-fine partition)... have a look at my phone..
hp size but wat makes it diff frm d conventional hp is, a usb cable was connected to my cpu... very similar to a hp, when some1 calls, his/her name will appear on d screen.. by d way, my ext is 4255...
its virtual image is on d screen... so, now we knw y it is called a softphone-a kind of software..... can call through pc as well, by pressing d numbers on d keyboard... very high-tech kan.... fine, perhaps it is sth very common out there.. but it's my 1st time coming across sth like dis, just bear wif me ok..
one of my childhood frend got married on d auspicious date (20th of Sept 2009)..
we went to d same school, same class since 10... i remembered all d little things we did together, even question i asked..
when we were 11, i asked eleen, do u have ears? i've neva seen them before coz ur hair alwayz covered them... she laughed but did not show me her ears til primary 6 when we took our 1st class photo.. out of d blue, she put her hair behind her ears n i was, U DO HAV EARS..
flashes were emerging during her wedding, from d lies she told her mom bout revising wif me instead, she was elsewhere to her birthday celebs at home n she driving me in her kenari...her mom knws me well too, expected me to b d responsible one during sleepover when d parents went outstation... those were d times when we hav no worries, ntg...
we r all grown-ups now, leading our own life, coping wif jobs etc etc.. so there we were, celebrating her once a lifetime moment, organizing d wedding pranks, cheering her up n calming her before she walked down d aisle..
d bride looked very much like d ex-ho chiak host... us, d 4 cha bao-s grabbing opportunities b4 d groom's arrival...
dressed to d nines for eleen's big day & a scrumptious dinner.. we met simon n michael (so, it's like a small sitiawan gathering) not forgetting d rest (eleen's coursemates)
dats about it, our dear fren got married n moved into a new home... i wonder who's next...
p/s: Derrick (d groom), remember to stick to d agreement, bear in mind derrick, u wouldnt wanna break any of it unless u r ready to face some harsh punishments.. just kidding.. i m sure dis pair of newly weds will do just fine...
sorry for d delay, it's better late den neva right? anyway, it's still raya....
wish to send my raya greetings to all my frends, alwani, hazwani, amirah (my coursemates whom i miss dearly), dr.bah, dr.noraini, dr.nina, mr.aj, madam suziana (my lovely lecturers), d crazy cgr gang faeiz n nadia, not forgetting my hometown frends as well as my uni mates and my IIC students...
finally, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri everyone... i m pretty sure u guys enjoyed d festive season, kuih, rendang, n jam (as in d traffic jam)... continue raya-ing in d office people...

PEGGY WINSTON : That’s Eifel Towers. Whats that square down there in Malaysia.
DR SHEIK yang belajar di UKM berasa Megah kerana dia bukan katak di bawah tempurung walaupun beliau UKM graduate. Dengan lancinya Dr Sheik menjawab :
DR SHEIK : itulah Dataran Putrajaya !! Sambil menyentuh rambutnya dengan semangat membara.
PEGGY WINSTON : Whats the small little spots down there ?
DR SHEIK : Oh that’s the BAR COUNCIL protesting about our Malaysian Judiciary. Dalam hatinya DR SHEIK berkata itu Mat Salleh belum pernah lihat ular besar berak.
PEGGY WINSTON : Saya berasa penat hendak minum

The moral of the story of Astronaut is even when you are oppressed, you learn that good life is earned by your hard and honest work. You will find life is hard outside the world if you depend on the Government’s spoonfeed.
LIFE IS EASY IF YOU WORK HARD AND HONEST AND YOU WILL HAVE NO FEAR.
Moral cerita ini ialah sekiranya kita bekerja keras, kita boleh menghadapi seluruh dunia dengan kemampuan kita. Sekiranya kita mengharapkan bantuan kerajaan, kita akan berasa susah di negara lain.
as i was blog-hopping (sth which i do when i dun feel like doing anthing for d day), saw sth lovely: couldnt say it's a tag as it's more to unveiling ur inner/unconscious self..
he (a random friend's friend's friend -god damn long chain) had fun writing this, recommended to try.. he's sure it'll make people out there smile, since we -are- spending some time thinking happy thoughts :-)
sth very random which make me smile in no particular order:
i like it when people i care for, care about me
it makes me smile when i woke up in d morning, remembering wat i dreamt, some ridiculous dream(s) which i'll just keep to myself.
seeing some1 i knw acting silly makes me laugh
when my lecturers/parents/aunts/uncles or any elderly ask me d 1 million dollar question makes me smile
i will smile when i see people laugh wholeheartedly without knowing exactly wat is it
seeing people trying their very best to clear my doubts/make me understand is funny n i like it
after i shhhh those who speak very loudly, i will smile
seeing some macho fella act motherly/coax a crying child makes me smile
i love it when those i enjoyed their companions do/say sth sweet
when people compliement me be it genuinely or fake, i likey
hearing some big words/jargons being used and not able to understand it but pretend to get wat it means make me giggle
comparing the behaviour of people i knw(when i 1st met them and now) can be very shocking yet funny
it makes me smile when people are comparing how sad/tragic their lives are.
i secretly like to observe how people behave and smile when some of them over-react
i like browsing through my old pix
when i receive a call/forwarded sms from some random people makes me wonder n smile
looking at people giggling happily in front of his/her lappy/pc alone is fun
i likey when people leave a comment or 2 in my blog or fb
seeing some boys standing at a side, waiting for d girls to shop is funny
i like chatting to those who dun speak much in reality where i see their wittiness emerge slowly in d form of words
i smile when i don't get what my students wrote in their essays
i laugh when students try their luck by assuming the definition of some words n get it wrong at d end
seeing my students presenting (wif lotsa gimmick) enthusiastically is sth i laugh about by myself wheneva i thought about it
conversing with students who have heavy hokkien accent is comical
p.s: u guys wud b wondering, wats wif d jokes which came in abundance recently, 1 thing for sure is, i wud just like to share wat i ve came across *sharing is caring*, another wud be for myself to laugh at... y choose to b upset when there are lotsa of things to laugh about...
p.p.s: coaxing myself after a mistake committed in my 1st invigilation.. felt very very bad-couldnt stop thinking bout how much d chief is going to hate me for not being able to receive order properly... *tak korek telinga betul-betul*
another version of d previous entry.. i find all this hilarious... enjoy....
Dear Tech Support:
Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0 and noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. No mention of this phenomenon was included in the product brochure.
In addition, Wife 1.0 installs itself into all other programs and launches during system initialization, where it monitors all other system activity. Applications such as Pokernight 10.3, Drunken Boys Night 2.5 and Saturday Football 5.0 no longer run, crashing the system whenever selected.
I cannot seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run some of my other favorite applications. I am thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall does not work on this program.
Can you help me, please!!! Thanks, A TROUBLED USER

Dear TROUBLED USER:
This is a very common problem men complain about but is mostly due to a primary misconception. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0 with the idea that Wife 1.0 is merely a UTILITIES & ENTERTAINMENT program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and designed by its creator to run everything.
It is unlikely you would be able to purge Wife 1.0 and still convert back to Girlfriend 7.0. Hidden operating files within your system would cause Girlfriend 7.0to emulate Wife 1.0 so nothing is gained. It is impossible to uninstall, delete, or purge the program files from the system once installed.
You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is not designed to do this. Some have tried to install Girlfriend 8.0 or Wife 2.0 but end up with more problems than the original system.
Look in your manual under "Warnings-Alimony/Child Support". I recommend you keep Wife 1.0 and just deal with the situation. I suggest installing background application program C:\YES DEAR to alleviate software augmentation.
Having Wife 1.0 installed myself, I might also suggest you read the entire section regarding General Partnership Faults (GPFs). You must assume all responsibility for faults and problems that might occur, regardless of their cause. The best course of action will be to enter the commandC:\APOLOGIZE.
In any case avoid excessive use of YES DEAR because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the operating system will return to normal. The system will run smoothly as long as you take the blame for all the GPFs.
Wife 1.0 is a great program, but very high maintenance. Consider buying additional software to improve the performance of Wife 1.0. -- I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0. Do not, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This is not a supported application for Wife 1.0 and is likely to cause irreversible damage to the operating system.
A woman writes to theIT Technical support Guy Dear Tech Support, Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and I noticed a distinct slowdown in the overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewellery applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0. In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as NEWS 5.0,MONEY 3.0and CRICKET 4.1. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.. Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do? Signed, Reply DEAR Madam, First, keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1...0 is an operating system. Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme. vbs and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband1.0should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.. However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Silence 2.5 or Beer 6.1. Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta. Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.) In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0. In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend: Cooking 3..0 and Good Looks 7.7. Good Luck Madam!
my 1st sem in dis new institution ended last friday... my feeling: a mixture of both happy, more to relief (25%) n sad (75%).. m relief coz i wont hav to go through d monotonous timetable n getting up for my 8am class; unfortunately i have T.H.R.E.E 8AM classes next sem which starts in october...
tot of seeing all my students 1 last time but many didnt turn up, thanks to d bar list which was revealed in week 11 > dis is 1 foolish step taken, cant they c it encourages students to skip classes, oni god knows y dis was implemented n i really hope dat i'll c d rationale behind dis soon...
anyhow, bk to my final week of d sem, there was ntg unusual, lessons went on n i chatted wif some of them, not a chat more to listening to their complaints...
kinda disappointed when i dun get to c most of my science students, n i wont b invigilating them too, so i guess no goodbye...
was glad to c most of my arts students though some neva turned up... so, as typical malaysians, wat else, pix-taking our fav activity... *tot of having a pic or 2 wif all my classes, but my wish will neva b granted-yes, i m a typical m'sian*
my PR group-indeed a very outspoken bunch...
tradition said, one uncommon pose is a must... so there goes d immature students n i....
grrr, notty boy was molesting my pencil case, once a notty boy, always a notty boy... but i couldnt doubt their friendship bond...
d PR girls...
my another bunch of PR students.... they complemented each other(notty boys + obedient girls)
another group of PR girls who dropped by my office for a short consultation n a shot....
d only psychology class i managed to bid au revoir... with oni 2 or 3 m.i.a, i was pleased....
look at d uniformity-same shirt n same pose... i was indeed a successful tutor as i managed to perform magic on them......
d time spent wif these students were short, only 14 times where each meeting was 1 n a half hour, i somehow can see their distinctiveness/personality; proudly i can c there were more decent students compared to outrageous ones...
anyway, i had lotsa fun teaching English to ppl from different background, no doubt hiccups did occurr every now n den; instead of grumbling over it, i chose to accept/change n improve it.. i do not knw whether or not they learnt/gained anything from me coz 70% of d time was spent on laughing -yes there were lotsa laughter in all my classes- i guess my students will succeed, though they play kinda hard but they hav d brain, so i'm expecting some future psychologists, PR managers, computer engineers, biochemist, etc...
one thing for sure is, they r some very good ones *in terms of their language proficiency*-d way they write were just so amazing, i dun feel bored reading over n over....
adiosss & best wishes (especially to d ones reading dis)
d msg above is to those who r experiencing some bad moments & those who r blissful.... yes u can grieve, but make it temporary, d happy ones, let it b long-lasting, things happen for a reason, we just have to learn to accept it...
