Another website

I feel sorry to my blog. I have literally abandoned it for quite some time. Clicking on my own page is rather rare now. I feel bad, guilty and sad....
If I were to give excusses like having other commitments, working takes up most of my time, sleeping is my preferred hobby, I should be shameful of myself.

Anyway, since I am an academician, it will be more proper to own a academically inclined website. Hence, I created an account in Academia.edu and shared findings of research that I've done so far on that website. My wish is to produce as many journal articles, book chapters, conference proceedings as possible. I've also uploaded lecture notes for both ESP and content-based subjects that I am currently teaching (as I do not want to lose them).

*Note: that profile picture was 5 years old.

I may have neglected this site of mine, but I promise to post an entry or two once I am free. That's all for now, adious~

Acapella FEVER

Love music? You'll definitely LOVE this.....

Candy Crush FEVER

Do you play Candy Crush? I am one of those who have need to crush some candies before bed time, ended up sleeping very late at night, thinking and dreaming about it. It was rather bad as it ruined my day plan. I am  curious to know why a lot of peeps and myself are getting addicted to it.

Read the following article and you'll know how 'meaningful' the game is.

Candy Crush is the sweetest addiction to hit our smartphones this year, by far. It's a huge time sink and despite being immensely frustating in the later levels, people just can't stop playing. In many ways, Candy Crush is just like real life, with 8 lessons we can use four our day-to-day lives.
8. Life is not always fair. Sometimes you get lucky with a good board, sometimes you don't. Deal with it.
7. Persistence is the key to success. If you persist long enough, one of these days you are bound to get it right somehow. Or get lucky. Or both.
6. Ask friends for help when you need it. You'll be surprised at how many are able and willing.
5. Help friends as much as you can. Life is all about give and take after all.
4. There will not always be friends who can help you out. It happens. Suck it up and wait.
3. You won't always understand what's going on. That's fine, you're not expected to.

2. Chocolate is evil. It will mess things up.
1. Life is equal parts fun and frustrating. It is full of challenges every step of the way, yet it can also be sweet and colorful!

CNY Resolution

I want to be a happier and better person. (full stop, that's all)

Why?
There's a long list of miserable causes that lead me to have a resolution this year. Resolution is sth I don't believe in because I hardly follow nor achieve them. It's a different case now because I finally realise the importance of staying optimistic.

I have never loved myself, in fact I used to torture myself; hating the fact that I am not as 'small size' as other normal girls. Size does matter, it's bullshit when people say it does not. My level of confidence is actually below zero, I claim that it's all because of my size. Moreover, I've been getting comments like I need a major makeover from head to toe, a change in wardrobe etc. All these make me ponder, am I really that NOT presentable, is my sense of dressing that BAD? I want to be seen in those body-hugging, sleeveless, bareback blouses too but I just couldn't make myself wear those. I am comfortable in my jeans, shorts and mini-tees. I have just changed my hairstyle to sth I've never tried before. As always, some complimented me whereas some gave negative comments. To me, I actually quite like it.

It's just appearance for god sake, ignore comments from people who don't know you, be thankful/grateful with what you have, have faith in yourself, do not compare.... All these are easier said than done...

Nobody knows how bad all these have affected me. It turns me into a heartless bitch that loses temper easily. I can be happy at 11am but extremely frustrated at 11.15am. My level of tolerance is very low. I used to be very patient and calm, at times panicky but I rarely throw tantrum.

Yes, I have to do sth with me. Exercise is the keyword, it's painful for me to just see/hear that word. I am not a sport person and after work I just need some rest. I am a difficult person, I know.
By hook or by crook, I need to get my big butt working for I don't want to be addressed as 'the big size' girl by the end of this year.

Where got?

It's my very 1st post of the year and nothing will beat the video above..... That's so Malaysian.... should I as an educator embrace or replace it?
I'm a little embarrassed because I do use some of the 2-word phrases.. I especially love 'where got' because I can respond by saying god is everywhere....
Watch it, you'll have a good laugh......
