Brain Juice has dried Out

brainstorming for almost 20 sets of questions VS doing 1 assignment all by yourself
> i rather do 1 set all by myself.. i've worked for almost 30hours in 3 days time- can i fast forward the time to 25th of November? i do not wish to undergo this torture of having to *do* assist students through out their assignments...

my thinking cap must be on 24/7 else i'll be regarded as a not-very-helpful-tutor..
today my 'england was kinda powderful' coz i've already burnt out... fortunately i like teaching, but teaching english for specific purposes needs a more experienced teacher, *i am not a very good candidate*

do i look like i'm good in reading humans' mind? maybe i do or maybe it's my fate to teach psychology students, even my 25 advisees are psychology undergrad-looks like i couldnt run away from the psychos... so, there i was surfing social-anxiety-disorder, pro-social behaviour, scaffolding, depression, love obsession, depression, motivation, insomnia, drug abuse etc etc in the net.. the good thing is, i learnt a handful of terms while the darker side was i failed to contribute much due to my limited knowledge..

i'll perform better if i were to teach what i am good at i.e some english/language related issues-not an expert but at least i feel more comfortable sharing information, retrieving and learning it.. as alwiz, i will never get what i wish for-sigh*

look at the number of comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was stunned after opening this document... it was my fyp, a shorter version which was presented by uncle yuen in a conference last year.. he planned to publish it in akademika (only god knows what journal is that), so it was checked by the iron lady and my oh my, it's as if i don't deserve an A....... god damn lotsa mistakes!!!!!! all sort of mistakes-plurality, citation, ambiguitys and the list goes on *Angie, HELP!!!!*... i need to amend this a.s.a.p...

with 20 over sets of assignments which require 99.5% supervision and paper to be improved plus the fatigue i need to endure, can i survive??

a Tour to my Workplace

i was surfing fb and came across a page and to my surprise, i saw some beautiful pix of my working place and decided to blog about it> *all pictures courtesy of utar kampar group*

kampar is actually my dad's hometown, he grew up here and wat a coincident i m starting my career here at dis very small town wif no cinema, mc d and basically, not a watering hole for many but i kinda like it here.. personally, d peacefulness and less hectic lifestyle suite me..

my working place/uni is kinda isolated from the town.. d structure of d buildings somehow impressed me-maybe d rumour of china architects being hired to do all d designing is true... ok, enuff wif all d unnecessary elaborations, let d tour begin....
the main entrance-ntg unusual, perhaps they r still working on it; i prefer ukm entrance especially d huge TV...

Heritage Hall, the 1st block after the entrance; also where my room is located.. all the talks, activities, orientation are held at d grounf floor- no idea how many human it can cater; while d 1st and 2nd floor are where d offices are.. i once lost my way to my own room *dat was when i 1st got here* becoz d rooms are not exactly in order n they look very much d same whereva i turned..

this is Block B from afar... all d classrooms are mainly for the arts students.. i m alwiz here and it's d place where i met my 1st bunch of psychology students who drove me up d wall, yet i still heart them...

dis is how classrooms in Block B look like, has been arranged for examination...

the library (which is also in Block B), a very tiny one, almost hidden... see how not to miss d 6th storey high tun sri lanang... there's a good news for all, dis library is shifting to a magnificent building *which u'll get to c in a few minutes time*...

as for Block C, *couldnt actually find the pix of d building* where all the essential departments are i.e HR, Finance, a book store etc (wouldnt wanna confuse u people wif all d acronyms- d fact is, i do not know wat those departments r called wink*)
so, d most siginificant part of Block C, apart from d atm, is d Cafetaria...

we r entering the science students' area.. some huge lecture halls, labs n 'doctors/surgeons' wanna-be can be seen in Block D & E..

classrooms in Block D or was it E?? they look alike... dis semester, i was not assigned to teach basic professional writing, so i dont get to come here anymore... ohh, i was there once to re-mark, i reminisce d days when i taught comp engineers, comp scientist, biochemist & information technologist...

a side view of the newest block G-don't ask me where's F coz oni god knows where it is), Pavillion look-alike, soon-to-be library building.. i was there on my 1st day of invigilation previous sem.. my jaw dropped when i got there, it's as if i were in kl; when i stepped into it, just another typical building in utar wif air-cond blowing at full blast..

did i mention, there's lotsa lake wif beautiful water lilies in utar, around utar as well (without lilies)-we have westlake homes (or Damish House-c how exclusive d name is) & eastlake (where tesco is located)... here, i leave u wif dis very serene picturesque image of 1 small part of utar..

p/s: dearest students, if wrong info was given, do correct me... i m still new here, unlike u old-timers.. wink*

Heavenly Workplace

if only my workplace is like d above pix, i'll b super productive... 851, an affordable price but shoudnt spend $ unnecessarily, keeping for my studies so i can afford a nicer workplace one day..

yearning for some warmth, due to d raining season, my room temperature if i m not wrong is comparable to d cold storage section of a supermarket.. dats y i was surfing for ideas to decorate my office which i have eventually ended up in ikea official site...

i wish i can write sth nice

but sadly i cant write anything nice...
at dis moment, i wish i was neva born...
d existence of me in dis world is like occupying extra spaces which can be used by other wiser person..

i have neva done anything nice, yes i knw how to smile but i do not knw how to make people smile..
i have neva said anything nice, yes i can communicate but i rather remain silence as i do not knw how to make people comfortable talking to me..
i have neva posted anything nice, yes i tried to b funny/witty but it doesnt work, causing misinterpretation & misunderstandings..

y m i brought here?
i have not contributed much to d society..
i have not contributed much to my parents, wasted their hard-earned $ for piano classes, studies, food, etc raising me..
i have not contributed much to my work, limited knowledge and experience + d immature me seemed to b d hindrance to achieve greater heights..
i have not contributed much to myself, d timid me will neva lead, alwiz d follower...
i have not contributed much to d time, rarely make full use of d time, spent most of d time doing very random petty stuff..
i have not contributed much to god, was neva a pious devotee, but i guess i need to start believing as i need to hold to One..

Golf Balls r D Most Important

When things in your life seem , almost too much to handle,
When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,
Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class

And had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly,
He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students, if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open Areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively
filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor, as the laughter subsided,
'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things - family,
children, health, Friends, and Favorite passions –
Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, Your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else --The small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' He continued,
'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for the things that are important to you.

So...

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play With your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.

There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

'Take care of the golf balls first --
The things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled.
'I'm glad you asked'.

It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'
