Favouritism

I think I practise favouritism... hahaha, but who cares... to be frank, I prefer teaching my science students rather than those from my faculty, of coz there are some nice ones but, only a handful... Having tutored 3 batches English for Science, I can assure you they are not only smart but outgoing and obedient... Yes, obedient, that's the attribute that not many students have... I always look forward to entering E4Sc classes...

my chemistry students... very playful but their cheekiness lighten up my class...
they are the very few who still drop by to say 'hi' at my place even after 1year...

my biotechnology students... have already missed teaching them... they can sing, present and answer any questions posted very well.. they definitely deserve the grade...

I may not like chemistry or biology very much back then in my secondary years, but I am glad to have some contact with those subjects through the wonderful science students I met so far... Teaching them English is a piece of cake because they already have good grasp of the language, so, less work on my part.... Perhaps, that's the reason why we can have so much fun in the class.. Not only that, I get to learn a lot of 'science-related topics' from them...

I can't be blamed for liking them more than my arts students... Plus, I think it's alright to prefer brighter and more obedient students than those irresponsible, lazy pigs...

My Fav Bunch is Graduating!!

This is an entry dedicated to the only batch of students whom I taught twice and loved so
much... They have sat for their very last final exam and will soon bid au revoir to their uni where I am still part of it...

my advisees~ not all of them but most of them..
I enjoyed 'advising' you and very glad most of you were not shy to share your feelings...
Though you'll be leaving me soon, we can still continue our advisor-advisee session...
Remember, Ms.Christina loves all of you a lot...

this group of girls, very obedient and friendly... they may not be very outspoken but actions speak louder than words... I feel as if I am one of them because probably we share similar characteristics- humble, timid at times and always a listener...

unlike the previous group, this bunch is rather outgoing and outspoken group...
they are a group of high achievers which I have no doubt they'll be very successful in the long run...

Miss Bollywoods!!!! and 2 prince charming? My bad, they are good boys and girls~

chee hong, yew tiong & kae wen, stay the way you are, remain positive and put in more effort and who knows I may need your expertise one day...

Goodbye dearies~ All of you will be dearly missed... You were the first bunch of students I met and I remembered all your names-surprisingly... Mischievous but hardworking, always able to bring laughter to me, that's why I love you... I am so going to cry on your last day (a part of me seems to be missing when you leave-no more disturbance, no more shouting 'MISS, MISS, MISS' along the corridor or wherever & whenever you bump into me, yes, lesser distraction but, there'll be lesser fun too)... I am glad I've stayed on and see you graduate... All the best in your future undertakings~

Colleagues-Friend or Foe?

My life has been revolving around my colleagues since last year... Celebrated numerous birthdays (the most birthday celebrations) as shown in the pictures below-I looked happy and I think I was happy...

Pong's 25th Burpday in March

Foo's Birthday in February..

Yi Von's 28th Birthday in February

Fong Wei's 29th Burpday in December..

Besides working and studying, I spend the rest of my time with them, eat, play and laugh... It was fun and I was glad to have them around... Compared to the first year, I was all by myself because the younger staff were still in their universities or working elsewhere; at times, I hang out with those from my department and discuss nothing except work... Things changed last year; it was very sudden that many younger staff were hired and we got along well.... Everything seems to be ok until recently when I don't feel good about 'I dunno what'.... So, is it good to be this close to your colleagues?

Friends, yes I have a lot... Sincere ones, I think there are a few but since we are in different parts of the world, we couldn't spend time together-once a while we may gather but it's nothing like the good old days as we don't really have much common topics... In every group of friends, I as usual (since I was born) am never the 'talker', always the listener, was, am and will be... I don't have much to say but one thing for sure, I never try to hide my feelings... if I like you, I won't hate you; if I hate you, I won't talk to you unless under unavoidable circumstances.. I seem to be sending out an aura which leads most of them to label me as 'panic button'... It has negative connotation but they always manage to turn it to humour, sth to laugh about... I am rather panicky at times due to the pressure and tasks, but who isn't... Because of this label, I am constantly turned into a laughing stock or 'central of the attention'...

Things are getting very rough... Cliques are forming, avoidance, negligence are taking place... Almost all my colleagues want attention (me too, but mine is mild, theirs are severe)... Some are getting rather irritating and I start to want to distance myself... The feeling of annoyance and 'geli' are forming, I couldn't stand some sights at the same time I still want to be in the group.... I am very contradicting, I know... This is where the extra stress comes in... It is bad for health, I know... This group is drawing a lot of attention and many others would very much like to hang out with us (not me in particular but them)... I don't have any good feelings towards this... Some are selfish, while some are fakers, a few are very sincere and people always take them for granted.... It's hard for me to not be in the group, as I always assume I am insignificant, I will miss those who are nice to me... Sigh~

I am glad to have my boyf who is always ears.... Getting myself involved, knowing too much and doing too much are not that great... All these have become extra burden... Yes, I shall listen and forget, never remember any...
