My Champion~

Participated as a lecturer in-charge, I had jittery feelings when my students were debating... Yup, a debate was held 2 weeks ago, to be specific, an inter-faculty debate... So, I was assigned to look for debaters from the Science Faculty and they didn't fail me... From the beginning, my sixth sense told me they are so going to win it and they did!!!!! One of them even walked away with the best speaker title-he doesn't talk much but when he opens his mouth, he impresses people with his wisdom and the way he phrases his words, definitely not an empty vessel...

I was there watching them, clapping for them, giving morale support in all 3 rounds... I remembered how nervous I was when they were up against Faculty of Arts and Social Science (the faculty I belong to) because the debaters were equally good (I know because I taught 2 of them before).. Thanks to my kids enthusiasm and great showmanship, they won... The 1st and final round were not difficult for them, I actually pity their opponents as my kids were rather harsh and did not give them 'face'....

I learn how difficult debating is, the preparation, anxiety and butterfly in the stomach they have to bear-it was my first time watching a debate, I learn a lot in terms of the rules, qualities that adjudicators look for in a debater and the don'ts... The organizing committee assured me they will make this a yearly event and I am looking forward to the next one which will be held in conjunction with the uni 10th anniversary... Of course, I hope I'll encounter a few outstanding students when I teach English for Science this coming January and send them out to retain their trophy...

their glorious moment... my hat goes off to all 3 of you...

the WINNERS + their proud lecturers!!!

Sam Tsui!! Sam Tsui!!

Do you know who Sam TSUI is???
He is like a magician cum singer, b'coz he has turned songs I hate to I can't say NO to anymore...
Not only that, he can turn songs which are already nice to something NICER....
I hated 'Love the Way U Lie' (who love lies?? ) and any Lady Gaga's song coz she's a nuisance to me....
Thanks to Sam Tsui, those songs are music to my ears now...
He is simply AWESOME....
Hear him sing:

Born This Way

Love the Way You Lie

King of Anything

Truly amazing, isn't he???
p/s: totally agree with one of the comments by a youtuber: HOW IS THIS GUY NOT FAMOUS YET!?!

Having good traits...

Is a very bad thing.....
you'll be reprimanded most of the time, though you tried to not to be involved....
you'll not know how others felt towards you, though you thought you've given your 100%...
you'll end up with many unanswered questions, though you thought you've managed to get things settled...
you'll continue receiving orders from the superior, though you had never wanted to be a servant...

Having contact with human beings on a daily basis has become a very sickening task for me these days...

Human + their traits, either u embrace them or have to accept them (in a forceful manner) because they are the people we meet every single day, in other words, you don't seem to have any choice... be it your colleagues, housemates, family, whoever they are, we need to accept their original self, you can choose to disagree with him or her, but in d end one of the parties must take a step back....

Humans are creatures with feelings....
Do not always think about yourself, try putting yourself in others shoe...
I always believe in karma, what you do to others, others will do the same to you...
You wont lose anything if you just be a lil' humble & modest (in fact you have everything to gain), bragging bout how great or how busy you are will not make any difference...

So, STOP thinking bout 'I, me & myself', replace them with 'you, he & she'....
Cheers~
