d things dat my STUDENTS taught me

LEPARKOUR
-any idea wat dat is frends???-
frankly, i neva heard of dat word before...
am i dat old??? (i'm only 5 years older den my students shouldnt b generation gap right?)
however, when i asked them wat's d fun of being a teenager, they gave me dat, n i was like huh, wat is dat!!!

MY BAD
-try to guess wat my bad means-
i was blank when my student said my bad
n i tried to translate as many malay words as possible to English..
it's keburukan saya....

PENSIVE
-d funniest word dat i've ever came across in my life-
my students were assigned by me to look out for prefixes and suffixes..
n my cutest student gave me pensive for EXPENSIVE...
he told me pensive is d root word for expensive..

DUN ANGRY ANGRY
-most of my students like dis phrase.. wheneva they think dat i'm upset, they'll say dun angry angry directly translated from jangan marah-marah- automatically, i'll smile..

UNTILL WHEN WHEN
-lol, can't stand nemore... d person who said this is a very handsome boy.. can u imagine my reaction???? all my students r too cute to b scolded... haha...
so, wat is untill when when?
initially, he refused to tell me, but yeah, i got d meaning when d class ends..
sampai bila-bila...

they can b very smart, creative and funny at d same time, even though i was angry but i can't scold them coz they r too cute.... grrrrr, i'm not strict la-most of them r not afraid of me...

*can u c how colourful my days r teaching here even though d bus system annoyed me and lead a hectic life where i have to skip my lunch everyday*

Oleh Norliza Abdullah bhnews@bharian.com.my

Dua lagi pelajar cemerlang menerima Anugerah Tun Abdul Razak sumbangan Yayasan Tun Razak. Masing-masing ialah Nur Ehsan Mohd Said, graduan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pendidikan dengan Kepujian Cemerlang dalam bidang Pengajaran Bahasa Inggeris sebagai bahasa kedua.

Seorang lagi ialah Christina Ong Sook Beng, Ijazah Sarjana Muda Sastera dengan Kepujian dalam bidang Pengajian Bahasa Inggeris dari Fakulti Sains Sosial dan Kemanusiaan. Naib Canselor UKM, Prof Datuk Dr Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hasan Shahabudin berkata, konvokesyen yang berlangsung selama 10 sidang itu membabitkan 7,273 penerima pelbagai anugerah termasuk Profesor Emeritus (5) dan Ijazah Kehormat (5).

sometimes it comes on time but sometimes, i hav to wait for more den 1/2 an hour...

just a short update, wanna go home now..
very few entries dis month -upset-
when can i hav my own connection?????

A mouse Story..

curi-ed dis story from marcus's blog... a nice 1...
n finally i hav time to browse through my frend's blog...

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.
'What food might this contain?' The mousewondered
he was devastated to discoverit was a mousetrap.
Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning.
'There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!'
The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her headand said,
"Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concernto you but it is of no consequence to me.I cannot be bothered by it."
'The mouse turned to the pig and told him,
'There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!
'The pig sympathized, but said,
"I am so very sorry,Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it butpray. Be assured you are in my prayers."
'The mouse turned to the cow and said,
'There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!'
The cow said,
"Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you,but it's no skin off my nose."
So, the mouse returned to the house, head down anddejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap-- alone.
That very night a sound was heard throughout thehouse -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey. The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snakewhose tail the trap had caught.
The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed herto the hospital and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for thesoup's main ingredient.
But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighborscame to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.
The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many peoplecame for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.
The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wallwith great sadness.
So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem andthink it doesn't concern you, remember -- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.
We are all involved in this journey called life.
We must keep an eye out for one another and make anextra effort to encourage one another.
