carnival jom heboh was in town last weekend.. surprisingly i attended it (a loyal sitiawanese wud do dat).. we took 45 min to get there, thanx to d massive jam frm teluk batik junction to d base entrance...

though d weather was terribly hot (it's as if i'm in a microwave n d result: roasted christina) yet i still managed to walk around.. d host wanted us, d guests to visit d ships (various type, size n shape) becoz visitors arent allowed in normal days.. so, we chose d biggest ship n wat i remembered is there were lotsa stairs.. didnt even want to look at another ship coz 1 is enough becoz d rest looked alike to me n partially is becoz of d weather..

finally, me & 1505 under d hot blazing sun... it looked enormous on d outside.. inside:no comment but thanks to 2 friendly navy boys explaining d parts of ship but i wasnt actually listening becoz of d weather (AGAIN!!!)

since u r my number 1 reader, so i giv u dis privilege to b in my post.. n u wouldnt b 24 on 24th (double 24) of April every year right... kekeke... how shud i do it?? start frm d very beginning on how we 1st met?? ok la, since i cnt connect to my facebook games, i shall write..

i can still remember vividly how angie n i met u n nadia (d coca-cola team vs team f&n).. place: where else if it s not meeting room in Cyberview Lodge... angie n i were teribbly bz handling all sorts of things as d 2 of u were at ppbl doing dr.subakir's quiz.. den when u guys arrived on d 2nd day, both of u presented on d problems faced in wordsmith tool- 4 of us kept very quiet (maybe we were terrified wif our lecturers) till dinner time.. Dinner made us happy n thanx to d food, we clicked immediately.. nadia n i wif d prawns, angie wif her bbq n u wif ur bread butter pudding.. after d dinner, we talked none stop, continued our researching n talking at ur room after midnite.. when we r done researching, reluctant to leave, we stayed at ur room watching boring mtv... in a blink of an eye, u sent us home (i mean hostel) which marked d end of our 1st LSC workshop..

before bidding our new acquiantance good bye, we took some pix at d resort..... dis is d nicest, other pix, no comments (hmmm, i remember posting dis in 1 of my entries)

after several weeks, we were asked to attend 2nd LSC workshop... no hesitation as we were thrilled (angie n 1, dunno bout u n nadia-but i guess u guys wud b more excited than us)... we went through d hecticness of researching again, but my task was different, deal wif d minutes n accounts...despite working n eating hard during d day, we were hyperactive at nite... hehehe...

i lurve dis pix though it's a lil' dark... our very 1st groupie.. we took tonnes of pix right during d 2nd workshop, haha but most cannot b shown to public.. n i can remember us acting like some clowns outside d Italian restaurant where dr.bah n her daughter dining.. psst, i think she saw us, but pretended not to (if i were her, i wud do dat!!)

too bad, u n nadia werent there during d 3rd LSC workshop.. d 2 of u sure know how to make ur choice, u r right, Mines Resort was not as fun as Cyberview Lodge, d food too...

dats ur handsomest pix found (i mean prettiest-kekekeke).... happy 24th birthday again, have fun (i know u will-had a party on d eve n i'm not even invited) n by d time u realise dis, it's oredi d next day i assume, oh ya n may u receive an A frm dr.subakir for ur thesis-is dat 1 of ur wishes?) ... missed ur companion so so much.... wheneva i'm wif d 3 of u, we laughed every single minute till 'usus terikat' -i felt young n alive.. u guys always make my day... kudos to d f&n team, not forgetting angie...... .

Not just a Signed Shirt

i was clearing my closet when i came across my my schooling shirts.. i neva know i owned countless shirts, all frm d clubs n camps i participated.. my favourite is d 1 below, a shirt fully signed by some of d campers.....

it's too precious for me to wear or iron it... look at all d signs-i can remember most of them but some names unfortunately no longer ring a bell.. dis is my favourite shirt though it is as 'hideous' as my other camping shirts..


i was carried away by d signatures... overlook d origin of d shirt.. i got dis shirt frm Penang, a national level NGO camp for all uniform bodies (not all actually- st.john, pbsm, puteri islam, scout & girl guide).. how i miss my camping days but not d mozzies... perhaps i shud blog about my girl guiding days in my next entry..

Curler Anyone?

Surprise!!!! i permed my hair...

i dun look like a student nemore, do i?? d idea of curling up d hair is becoz i wanna look more 'mature'.. dis is an unusual option right-if i dun do dis, d students/staff at my working place wud b confused wif my identity... let me story u guys
1. i dropped by public bank to open an account, guess wat, d lady recommended me a debit card becoz a student like me will gain lotsa benefits frm it (den i explained, d acc is meant for my salary).
2. during my 1st job interview, i was asked to participate in their teaching n learning session, again d students think i'm 1 of them.
3. a foreigner in iic which bumped into me, 'mengada-gada' wif me at d stairs as he assumed i'm a student.

plus i need a new look after so many year of 'straight hair'... so, wat say u??
oh ya, it's just temporary curl, as i'm blogging it has turned bk to its initial shape..
so, if i happened to do my hair at a shop, wat shud i do wif d newly-bought curler, n i'm sure my paarents wud scream at me...

haha, a girl's life wud neva b peaceful as there's alwiz sth to fix n worry about.. am i right?

stuff frm Kampar

i bought some stuff from tesco kampar... d things there may it b food, grocery, toiletries, bucket, pail, kids' books, bla bla bla n my room r CHEAP-not just affordable, but it's CHEAP... i'll make sure i save 3/4 of my salary when i start working (no cinema, no mc d, no malls except tesco, so there's no way i can spend $$ there maybe on transportation -to go home-)...

so after shifting my bed up to d room, we went for lunch wif my dad's besties (they were cool!!! *old but young at heart*)... d lunch was superb, those most of d dishes were vege but they were yummy-simple yet very very very delicious meal indeed n d restaurant was air-conditioned.. dats essential coz u'll feel as if u r burning (take note, it's no longer melting) if u stay under d hot sun for more den 3 sec..

ok, lets come bk to d topic.. as i said, things were cheap so i bought d following items i.e books, local biscuits & tidbits..


i met my nephews n nieces, they r 3-5 years old.. so some ABC wud do i tot.... after choosing for half n hour my mom n i agreed to get dis colouring+reading book which i think it's too difficult.. i was a lil' shocked when A is not for Apple anymore but Aeroplane instead...

when i got home, d 1st thing i did was to go through d books.. my jaw dropped (n neva close) till d last page.. see, J for Junk (some sort of boat which i m not very familiar wif) n K is for Kangaroo, not Kite?? i always believe in starting from 0.. 1 syllable words wud b more suitable for pre-school kids (no wonder d public keep bringing up d issue on M'sia Edu system, no doubt i agreed wif d majority dat-yes, it needs to be revamped a.s.a.p, talking about major overhauling here)

during my time (sounded as if i was from d 50s), Q was for errrrr i cannot recall but i'm 100% sure it's not Quail...yes, no doubt Quail is 1 syllable word but dat bird isnt popular in M'sia... a child wouldnt b able to figure out dat bird, eventually they wouldnt b interested in learning nemore... so, who to blame when a kid tends to engage in play station/comp games instead of books n informative board games?

very sickening right after d discussion on Education.. haha, so shall we move on to Food??
i had chee cheong fun for breakfast at 10am, it was smooth n juicy wif d curry+sweet n not very thick gravy.. in less den 3 hours, we went for lunch (so memengsankan, i mean mengemukkan-right?).. there were 5 of us, n uncle ordered 5 dishes: 2 veges, 1 omellete, 1 meat, 1 fish.. guess wat, it's less den 50bucks, less den 45 also.... i likey d cost of living in kampar...

a rare biscuit.. filled wif green tea plus other common fillings but it's not my cup of tea... something which i dun like is usually good for health...


dis 1 is super yummy.. it's 'kaya kok'.. d tastiest kaya kok i've eva tasted... it was 'pei pok, ham leng' literally thin crust, nice fillings'-a very popular cantonese saying during mooncake festival..


i first got to know Lay's in S'pore during d x'mas visit.. my cousin n his frends loved Lay's very very much.. i dun dare to buy when i encounter Lay's in Mid Val coz it's approx 9bucks (a lil' costly right for chips).. so, y did i buy 2 when i was in tesco, kampar-becoz it was oni 7.28 for one pack...

i guess i wont die of hunger when i'm there, just pray dat d level of fat n cholestrol wont increase.. but life isnt about possessing a pretty face n nice figure, as long as we r healthy n happy, we shud b contented..

A new Hobby??

i fail to feed/bath/play with Trixie (fyi, my virtual pet), cannot harvest/plant any trees, lost in all the food fights...
if u are a facebooker, u'll know wat i'm talking about..
so, i was really really really fed up at the same time try to solve the problem by looking for d main culprit-viruses/tm-net.. i gave up in d end coz u know-my internet literacy wasnt up to d par..

fine, so wat did i do yesterday??
to reduce my anger (for not being able to collect coins to buy furniture for my pet), i clean my wardrobe..
was folding all my clothes n without realizing it took me 6hours to fold, categorize n pack those unwanted ones for d orphans... *sweat*

-clearing my cupboard is not my new hobby k-
n d story continues,
as i was unpacking my bags bla bla bla, i saw some colourful threads n a needle..

2hours after dat, i was CROSS-STICHING.. so, dats my new addiction-besides facebooking & blogging, i lurve cross-stiching.. perhaps it's time to turn myself into something not that 'high-tech'.. to be frank, i get rather demotivated to write becoz so many claimed to b silent-readers..
anyway, i'll continue writing as dis is my 1 n only complaint counter which will oni listen n wont reply..

Simple & Sedap

Christina (d chef in d making) did egg sandwich n she would like to share dis Simple & Agak Sedap recipe with her friends.. to b a good cook, one must start from d very beginning.. i've learnt my lesson, neva try to run before u know how to crawl.. i guess my intro has been very 'inspiring'.. we shall kick start our lesson wif d ingredients & utensils..

D ingredients are: 2 hard-boiled egd, 8 pieces of Gardenia Bread, mayonise, n some salt & sugar for taste (fyi, it's made for d consumption of 3 persons)
D utensils used are: a bowl, 2 plates, 2 spoons, a knife & a toaster..

The in-detail Steps:

1. Put 2 eggs into a metal mug n boil them for approx 15 minutes on 'big' fire because we want hard-boiled eggs (how do u know when, according to my mom, get a pair of chopsticks n try to lift 1 of d eggs up; if u can do so den it has already turned into a perfect hard-boiled egg) .. No pics coz i was still asleep when my mom boiled them....


2. Get a bowl & spoon.. Peel d eggs n put them into d bowl. Press/Smash them till they turned like d pix above.. A pinch of salt n sugar is added to d crushed eggs..


3. Take out d mayonise from the frige.. It can be any brand.. My mom is a vegetarian so, as u can c it's vegetarian mayonise -no doubt, it's as yummy as d common ones-


4. A short gardenia bread should be ready.. Personally, gardenia is d best.. Plain one will do...


5. The 8 pieces of bread just now need to b toast.. it's optional, u can opt to toast or not to.. d plus point of toasting d breads are, they'll b crunchier.. Make sure d temperature is low..


6. This is how it looks like when u spread mayonise on d bread.. More mayo, more yummy....


7. After spreading d mayo, spread d smashed eggs on it...


8. Finally, put another piece of bread on it den cut diagonally.. N voila, it's ready...

We were young and innocent, oblivious to everything. “Babies come from belly buttons’’. That’s what we believed.

We made paper planes and imitated the Power Rangers. Cooked bougainvilleas and leaves on Barbie kitchen sets, playing pretend while mummy cooked in a real kitchen. Boys? Eeeew!

Years have passed since then. Many years.

Now mum expects the cooking to be done on a real kitchen set and we dream of flying away in a real plane. We watch One Tree Hill and 90210 (the new version). We expect to get flowers, not cook them, and we have long stopped playing pretend.

We are not so innocent, and wonder how the younger ones can be so ignorant and oblivious. Boys? Giggles.

We’ve grown ... everywhere! Suddenly life is so much more complicated than wondering about which toy we want to play with today. Getting up means having to decide what to wear. Every day brings another question. Many of which still remain unanswered.

People have changed. We have changed. Playground buddies are now sliding off different things, and we are swinging in different directions. The Monkey Bar is a new club in town. The grass, as usual, is greener on the other side. Now when we say, “Go fly kites”, we don’t get that enthusiastic response we used to.

Ironic, isn’t it?

When we were young, we used to talk about the future. Now, we try to hide our past and avoid the future. What are we afraid of? Wrinkles? Judgement? Abandonment? Gossip? Loneliness? Hurt? Change? Others? Ourselves.

We used to play pretend, but the world’s a stage, literally, and everyone is an actor. Sometimes we wish we’d stop playing that game, get out of character and costume, remove the masks and write our own scripts.

Conversations took place at slumber parties, and we used to tell stories and giggle till the wee hours of the morning. Now we sit in the dark corners of our rooms and speak to little screens. Our thumbs tend to move faster than our thoughts and we’ve lost the ability to look people in the eyes whilst having a conversation.

Everything is suddenly virtual. We are slowly going mute. Abbreviations increase our talking space, but ironically cut down our talk time.

Sex. Now, does not mean gender. Giggling about sex does not mean we’re embarrassed to talk about, it means we’ve thought about it. Boys are still “Ewwww!” because now it’s the men we’re after.

Do-Nothing Days

despite being in d lime light, i m kinda moody...
wanna know how i really feel, i was 'paiseh' (embarrassed) d moment i received sms-es frm my ex-students.. den, it got bigger & bigger-d news came out in a chinese daily (sin chew), my frends' parents recognize me -goshhhh, free publicity.....
i regretted putting d link in facebook (now i do not know how to remove it)..
all along i was an average student n suddenly i'm d cream of d crop.. i m not fluent, cant even speak impromptuly in public.. not to mention, the number of words i know..
i alwiz think if any acs-ian took my course, he/she will most probably overshadow me..

frankly, i'm not very happy (i was super happy during my convocation but not dis time)..
maybe it's due to my nothing-to-do mode..

i need to put up with d super hot weather n smelly rubber behind my house.. leaving d house wud b my last option (how ironic)..

wanted to work on my thesis before going bk to school but to come out with 1 interesting, catchy yet manageable title is d hardest thing ever.. shud i do something similar to my degree i.e lexical analysis in blogs... hmmm, thought of conducting a research where not any Tom, Dick or Harry can do it-sound ambitious right...

*sigh*
i wish tomorrow is d 4th of May..

MonoPOLY

it was my 1st time playing monopoly... i was in my aunts house last weekend so my lil' cousins make me play wif them.. initially, i hav to play piano wif hannnah, den came tommy, forcing me to play chess with him (i'm very sucky in chess, tend not to use my brain- tommy was a unique chess player as he showed me d consequence if i made d move i wanted too-*scratch head* where got people show his opponent d right move one.. hahaha)
we didnt manage to finish d game coz dinner was served.. dun u worry tommy, i'll play with u some day whole heartedly.....

i never know there are so many rules in monopoly as i thought it's 'just another board game'.. surprisingly, i'll have to "Go to Jail if I roll doubles three times in a row". Then, in order to get out of jail i'll have to pay $50 if I don't roll doubles by the third run, and many other rules & regulations -damn memeningkan kan- but dat 2 lil' cousins of mine memorise d rules by heart..
i just follow wat they said like whether or not to buy house etc, in other words-being controlled by them.. but overall, it was fun becoz i won n i believe it wud be merrier if there are more players..

psst, in d future, when i have kids-i'll play board games like monopoly & pictionary with them

4 Papers in 1 Day

after 8 months of waiting, i've finally received the prestigious Tun Abdul Razak Award.. I never know it was a 'big' event until i reached The Prince & Residence Hotel where according to Ehsan, a room costs approx RM360 per nite.. so, i went there with an 'unconscious' mind coz played monopoly wif my cousins til midnite d day before.. furthermore, Ehsan & I do not know what's going on till we were given d souvenir book on dat day itself.. blame us not as we received a call from someone from d foundation and asked us to go to the hotel on d 6th of april (full stop, no further info given)..

everything was answered yesterday like we'll b receiving d award from Nazim (Tun Abdul Razak' son a.k.a our new PM Najib's younger bro), we'll b getting a book besides d medal n cheque, d VIPs whom we don really know them.. d nervousness appeared (i was shaking but pretended to b cool), very afraid that i might fall, drop d book/cert/ medal... thankfully, everything was fine except the pix..

u guys can read the 4 articles from 4 different newspapers below.. they wrote a lot about Ehsan (he deserved it more den i do as personally i didnt achieve/do anything great)

Top students bag Tun Razak award

KUALA LUMPUR: Hard work guarantees success. Two Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia students, Nur Ehsan Mohd Said and Christina Ong Sook Beng, learnt this yesterday.They not only emerged as joint winners of UKM's Best Student Award but also received the Tun Abdul Razak Award from Tun Razak Foundation adviser Datuk Mohamed Nazim Razak. Foundation chairman Tun Mohammed Hanif Omar said the award was initiated to recognise UKM students' outstanding academic performance and in memory of the services of the late Tun Abdul Razak Hussein as its first chancellor. Citing Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as his idol, 25-year-old Nur Ehsan said he was delighted and surprised to have received the awards.

"I was not studying to receive the awards. But when people recognise my hard work, I feel appreciated. My formula for success is simple: be proactive and never do last-minute studying," said the eldest of four siblings. Nur Ehsan is pursuing his Master of Philosophy in English Studies at UKM.

Active participation in various co-curricular activities did not stop Ong, 24, the holder of a Bachelor of English Language Studies from excelling in her studies.In fact, she graduated with a first-class degree last year."I was involved in various activities in the university."I was the president of the Tun Hussein Onn College Choir Club and participated actively in other clubs. "But when it comes to my studies, I just do my best and put in a lot of effort," said the former SMK Methodist ACS student.

During the awards presentation ceremony, Nazim also launched the Tun Razak Youth Leadership Programme as part of the Tun Razak Foundation's activities.

KUALA LUMPUR 6 April - ''Sentiasa berada di kedudukan tiga teratas dan amalkan hidup bersederhana'' itulah pesanan Perdana Menteri kedua, Tun Abdul Razak kepada kelima-lima anaknya. Anak keempat Allahyarham, Datuk Nazim Tun Razak berkata, bapanya merupakan sumber motivasi utama bagi mereka sekeluarga agar kuat bekerja supaya berjaya dalam bidang yang diceburi. Menurut beliau, harapan Allahyarham untuk memastikan kesemua anaknya berjaya telah tercapai termasuk Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak yang kini merupakan Perdana Menteri keenam negara.
''Tun menggalakkan kami lima beradik untuk berjaya dalam pelajaran dengan memberi RM30 jika mendapat nombor satu, RM20 untuk nombor dua dan RM10 untuk nombor tiga bagi pencapaian dalam peperiksaan penggal.

''Begitulah didikan yang diberikan oleh Allahyarham kepada kami, justeru sedikit sebanyak diharap ia dapat memberi galakan kepada generasi muda untuk berjaya pada masa hadapan,'' katanya. Beliau berkata demikian ketika berucap pada majlis perasmian program kepimpinan Tun Razak anjuran Yayasan Tun Razak (YTR) di sini hari ini.

Dalam pada itu, Nazim turut memberitahu, Tun Razak sering menekankan tentang erti hidup bersederhana. ''Sebagai contoh, kami adik-beradik ketika kecil, bercita-cita untuk membina sebuah kolam renang di rumah tetapi Tun Razak selalu menyebut 'nanti apa orang kata,'' katanya.

Sementara itu, Pengerusi YTR, Tun Mohammed Hanif Omar berkata, program kepimpinan itu bertujuan menggilap bakat baru kepimpinan dan berharap anak-anak muda dapat menjadikan Allahyarham Tun Razak sebagai contoh.

Katanya, dalam usaha untuk terus mengenang jasa Tun Razak, YTR mewujudkan anugerah khas Tun Abdul Razak (TAR) bagi pelajar terbaik Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). ''Anugerah ini telah diadakan sejak 1995 untuk memperingati Tun Razak sebagai Canselor pertama UKM,'' katanya.

Anugerah TAR bagi tahun ini diberikan kepada dua graduan UKM iaitu Nur Ehsan Mohd. Said dan Christina Ong Sook Beng. Nur Ehsan merupakan pelajar terbaik Anugerah Sijil Dekan dari Universiti Darul Iman Malaysia (UDM) dalam Pendidikan Bahasa Inggeris. Beliau kini mengikuti Ijazah Sarjana dalam Pendidikan Linguistik di UKM. Sook Beng pula merupakan pelajar terbaik Anugerah Sijil Dekan dalam Sains Sosial dan Kemanusiaan, UKM dan kini seorang pensyarah Bahasa Inggeris di Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR).

"Segala nasihat serta tunjuk ajar ditinggalkan kepada kami diharap dapat diwarisi kepada generasi akan datang," katanya ketika berucap pada Majlis Perasmian Program Kepimpinan Tun Razak, di sini, semalam.

Hadir sama, isteri beliau, Datin Norjuma Habib Mohamed; Pengerusi YTR, Tun Mohammed Hanif Omar dan Ahli Lembaga Pengarah YTR, Tan Sri Arshad Ayub. Mohamed Nazim berkata, walaupun bapanya memegang jawatan tertinggi kerajaan, dia sekeluarga hidup dalam serba sederhana dan segala keputusan perlu diteliti hinggakan cadangan untuk membina kolam renang di kediamannya di Sri Taman akhirnya tidak menjadi kerana khuatir tidak disenangi rakyat. "Kesederhanaan Allahyarham kini menjadi pegangan kami dan kesungguhan serta kegigihan beliau mendidik generasi muda hari ini diabadikan menerusi penubuhan YTR sejak 15 tahun lalu. "Kami bersyukur kerana dididik dalam suasana serba sederhana yang berjaya menjadikan kami insan yang dapat berbakti kepada masyarakat," katanya.

Pada majlis berkenaan, YTR menyampaikan Anugerah Tun Abdul Razak kepada dua graduan cemerlang Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Nur Ehsan Mohd Said, 25; dan Christina Ong Sook Peng, 24. Masing-masing menerima, sijil penghargaan, wang tunai RM1,000 dan pingat bersalut emas berukiran wajah Tun Abdul Razak. Kedua-dua mereka yang mencatatkan kejayaan cemerlang sepanjang tempoh pengajian mengikuti program Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pengajaran Bahasa Inggeris Sebagai Bahasa Kedua, selain aktif aktiviti kokurikulum. Ketika ditemui, Nur Ehsan berkata, anugerah berkenaan diberikan atas kesungguhan dan kejayaan memperoleh ijazah sarjana muda kelas pertama dengan purata nilai gred kumulatif, 3.71, selain aktif aktiviti kokurikulum dengan menjadi Yang Dipertua Jawatankuasa Kebajikan Siswa dan Siswi Kolej Ungku Omar.

KUALA LUMPUR: “Saya tidak pernah menyangka akan menerima penghargaan setinggi ini,” kata penerima Anugerah Tun Razak, Nur Ehsan Mohd Said.Nur Ehsan, 25, berkata kerja kerasnya selama ini membuahkan hasil apabila dia menerima Anugerah Dekan selama lapan semester berturut-turut.Menurut anak sulung daripada empat beradik itu, dia tidak pernah mengharapkan apa-apa anugerah selain mencari kepuasan dalam bidang yang diminati iaitu Pengajaran Bahasa Inggeris Sebagai Bahasa Kedua (TESL).Mengakui bukan mudah mahu mencapai tahap seperti sekarang, Ehsan yang kini menyambung pengajian peringkat sarjana dalam jurusan TESL berkata, tiada istilah penat dan jemu dalam kamus hidupnya.

Pada majlis itu, Yayasan Tun Razak (YTR) dengan kerjasama Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia dan Arkib Negara menganugerahkan Anugerah Tun Razak kepada dua mahasiswa terbaik Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

Majlis perasmian disempurnakan Penasihat YTR yang juga anak Allahyarham Tun Razak Hussein, Datuk Mohamed Nazim yang hadir bersama isteri, Datin Nurjuma Habib Muhammad. Hadir sama, Pengerusi YTR, Tun Mohammed Hanif Omar.Seorang lagi penerima anugerah itu, Christina Ong Sook Beng, 24, berkata dia sangat teruja serta terkejut kerana terpilih untuk menerima anugerah itu.

being a supportive senior -eham- i wouldnt miss anything from d club i loved most during my uni days.. therofore, i attended the concert performed by fellow juniors on the 22nd of March at Panggung Seni, UKM...

it was my 1st time -to b a listener (audience) instead of a performer- in my uni... wondered how d feeling wud be like when i was at the entrance...

wat i can said is: the whole performance was a success... ntg similar to d previous concert (1 or 2 songs not counted), the hybridization was a clever move.. piano & di zi to do Jay Chou's song -i like it though i dunno dat song, not a big Jay Chou's fan-, malay drum & d orchestra to do d 3 in 1 malay folk songs wif some hand-clapping & shouting, singers who sang melodiously accompanied by the orchestra.. most importantly d choices of song-colour of d wind (my fav), rasa sayang eh and 'ling zhong yue hui'... they only have 1 person to thank: Mr.Chen, d energetic conductor a.k.a our teacher who patiently taught & guided them..

as for the group performance, it's pretty obvious that er hu group did better than our 'Canon in D' in d previous concert.. i bet the audience was astonised when a stunning girl holding a pipa walked out-she's not oni beautiful but played well and i salute her guts.. moving on, we have the flutist -d biggest group, most popular instrument in d club- doing their 'baby elephant walk'.. i wouldnt call it fantastic if it wasnt for d Jay Chou's song done with piano & dizi (chinese flute)..

after the performance, wat else, photo-taking session...

my stubborn younger bro who 'snatched' my er hu and make it his was 1 of the performers..

we learnt er hu together, he's luckier coz gotta perform twice as he's doing engineering.. after being very patient teaching idiotic me, he has to face my obstinate bro.. nvm la, do some good deeds before u leave..

main flutist of d nite... petite girl with a big talent.. i'm so proud of u...

d pianist.... also another talented girl, able to play both eastern n western musical instrument..

a kind-hearted junior... he looked so stressful (not oni him, most of them actually)... a caring senior, me; gave some words of encouragement to unstressed him..

d 'chaser' of d nite.. dis junior is not oni stressful but tired... but dun u worry, still look very 'macho' wif d red ribbon.. *chuckling*

finally, a small groupie.. xian yin, chuen man (d lil' girl in pink) and i with some of d performers...
oh ya, tribute to wen jie (d 1 next to me), he's indeed d most supportive senior eva found on earth..

psst, neva belittle performance held in smaller hall.. if a small concert like dis is held every year, i guess, orkestra traditional artisukma ukm will b one of d top club in d uni.. to b ambitious is good, but we hav to b more practical.. anticipating d next 1 -it's g.o.o.d to be part of d audience..
