An obituary printed in the London Times
"Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has
been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his
birth records were long lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain
- Why the early bird gets the worm
- Life isn't always fair
- and maybe it was my fault
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more
than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in
charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but
overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy
charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate, teens suspended from
school for using mouthwash after lunch, and a teacher fired for reprimanding
an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job
that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent
to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student, but could not inform
parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses and
criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar
in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to
realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her
lap and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his
wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers:
I Know My Rights
I Want It Now
Someone Else Is To Blame
I'm A Victim
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you
still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

darker side of FB
do not facebook (oh, now it's a verb) so much coz it brings more harm than good...
many get into unforseen trouble by posting their disatisfaction in their shout out box.. nonetheless, some forget their priority and some just get carried away in that so-called widest social network..
u'll also find many annoying facebooker (now, it's a noun) like below (i agreed some of them irritate me):

Libyan Foodie & Kampar Dim Sum
typical boring title but straight to the point and clear.. due to my uber occupied schedule last month, i can only blog about the interesting happening now... the so-called interesting happenings are yummy food i ate...
i bet none of you have neither tasted nor seen Libyan food.. i was lucky, i got to see and eat something extraordinary, thanks to my classmates-Mona, Hanan and Samya.. not only they brought me food (the one on your left is savoury, very much like a bun; whereas on your right, it's sweet, very sweet but it's worth a try-oh dear, i've forgotten the names for these two Libyan gastronomy) , they educated and opened my eyes to their culture.. it was a totally different experience working with non-Malaysians..
ok, back on track... i had a scrumptious breakie with my housemate one fine day... two very greedy girls ordered more than wat our tummies can bear.. it was d.e.l.i.cious and i was too full to budge on dat particular day, see, i can still remember.. maybe becoz of dis, my mood deteriorated and failed to show my enthusiasm in the classes which led to some not-so-excellent evaluation given by my students... to be frank, i am not very happy with this time evaluation; i did not give my best apparently and some of them can see thru me... damn, my performance is falling... looks like i'm not a good multi-tasker, i cant juggle a full-time job and studying...

these dim sums are nice to see, nice to touch and nice to eat, but once eaten, it will jeopardize one's mood.. alright, i should not be blaming these cute lil' dumplings, chee cheong fan etc, they are not guilty...

Ready?
after i changed my status in fb (damn, i hate fb, it's evil!!), i realized i was not that ready after all to reveal the change in my status... i always shiver when everyone's eyes is on me, dat freaks me out... on one hand, he has already changed his way earlier and has even brought me to meet his frend, so why am i acting like a coward? blame who/wat if it's not the environment/society..
i'm going to live thru all the judgement, criticism, comments made dis time- i won't give a damn.. i knw he's no wang lee hom and he knows i'm no selina (dat's the oni female singer i can think of currently).. i knw many wud be surprised, but don't i deserve to be loved, or do i look as if i'm destined to be a spinster?
STOP THINKING what other people think about it christina ong sook beng! i must yell to myself at times..

thankfully, all the comments i received are rather positive-i'm glad.. those who commented & congratulated me especially my students (hack, my life will always be invaded by my students, but without them, my life is dull), i can truly feel ur 'sincerity'.. as for my frends, u'll be meeting him soon i guess...
