i did try to converse in cantonese, but frankly,
people notice dat i'm not local d moment i finish
my 1st sentence..

ok fine, i came from perak and i do not speak
cantonese... cantonian from kl and ipoh
made such a big hu-ha and started interviewing
me, as if i'm from another planet when they came
across a weird creature from perak who does not
speak cantonese...
y can't they speak mandarin or english-universal
language instead of dialects???
is it a necessity to adhere to d language of d
majority in this big city???

lol. no worries. there are many hokkien people who can't speak hokkien.
many chinese who can't speak mandarin.
many people who can't speak proper english.
so it's just a matter of learning and having fun. :P
