Flashback...

3 years in ukm was a memorable one..
i remember my 1st day here where i cried after my mom n dad left (just like kindergarten kid-shame on me)
not oni dat, i cried myself to sleep 5 days in d row coz i hav no roomie-i was all alone, walk alone, do almost everything alone whereas other ppl stick wif their roomie-i envy them so much n begun to think of my parents, home n sitiawan buddies, all d good things i had back home..

dis girl and her roomate appear, they said 'hi' n i stick wif them just like super glue whereva they go..



n den i become more contented when a girl enter my room and say "hi, i'm ur new roomate"
my respond was "i've been waiting for u for ages" (how relief i was dat time bcoz i will no longer b lonely).. so, i have lai chin, 2 years my senior as my roomate.. she took good care of me-buy me food when she was out, advise me, chat wif me when i was lonely..



not oni dat, her frends took good care of me too-how i wish i'll b a junior foreva n eva.. this group of leng lui jie jie is very nice n i miss them a lot..


den i grew closer to my floormates and blockmates.. they celebrated my 21st birthday which was also my 1st birthday party in ukm -not really a party but many ppl come so it's party rite? and it's my 1st birthday celebration after so many many many years (my last one was in 1994)


ignore d ugly attire i was wearing-it was out of a sudden, i wasn't informed bout d occasion, wear some ugly baggy high school club t-shirt.. i started to feel at home at dis time..

besides my floormates, i have my coursemates...


i was and m very close to alwani coz she stayed next door and also 1 of my coursemates.. she talked pretty loud and has very strong kedah accent where i get very used to it now-kinda weird now where she's not gonna b by my side nemore...

there were oni 55 of us-d BA ELS.. though i wasn't very close to each n every1 of them but at least i know their names and greet them all d time.. some were close to me n i apreciate all d little things they've done to me.. let's tok about my study, we were assigned on various kinds of assignments which i think were interesting-u wud neva know we r language students when u get to know d tasks we did.. we analysed advertisements, made posters, created a language game, analysed nutritional drinks sachet, analysed movies, acted several times, transcribed speeches to IPA symbols, did mock teaching, made websites..



oral communication class where we did a lot of speaking, presenting and acting..this was our 1st groupies, taken at d end of 1st sem..



literature class where we acted n was evaluated on our creativity.. i was a mom to 2 daughters but end up falling in-love wif my soon to b son-in-law.. ridiculous right, dats how we wan it to b (comical)



d literature class again, but dis time round is poster presentation-we produced 3 posters in 4 semesters (i shud b photoshop literate by now, unfortunately, i'm not- i must try to learn it, at least know those easier features...



dis is d most recent 1, a language game... it was my 1st time making a board game.. not easy but not dat difficult too coz it's for primary student.. hehe.. but i enjoy d process of making it..

i consider myself active in my residential hostel, i join dis n dat, yes hard work balancing studies n activities but these extra activities taught me a lot- yes i complain but i must admit, i will lose out more den i can imagine if i didnt join any..



n dis was d team i led... i was d president of my hostel choir club.. dis was a great bunch of juniors.. their task is to sing-as for me, teaching them songs was my assistant-chee sun's job n no doubt she did a great job sharing responsibility.. i'm not good in singing--a little shy but good in shouting.. hehe..

life moved on.. i met more ppl after joining a club-d chinese orchestra club... i learnt er hu.. i get to know lotsa professional n talented people.. neva know i'll b part of chinese orchestra.. not oni i manage to play er hu though not well, but participated in several event, watched a few performances etc etc..



i know it's blur-blame d photographer... but it's a memorable 1-my 1st performance-i remember i was super nervous!!



after several performances, a plan to organize a concert crop up n voila, it was successful.. we collaborated wif a secondary school in kajang where i got to make frends wif lotsa talented n boisterious bunch of kids..



it's time to say bye to our senior.. indicating dat, i m gonna leave soon too...

n so, we bid au revoir to these lovely seniors 1 by 1 during their graduation..



dis is xiu mei, no other senior is as caring n sweet as her.. she has d motherly features where she address herself as mama san.. but of coz i call her jie jie le, sound a bit old if i call her mummy..



my very last reunion dinner wif the members.. amazingly many ppl turned up, unlike previous years.. though it was noisy -karaoke- but i managed to spend some quality time wif d juniors..



finally, dis was my very last performance.. performing for my own hostel.. it was a big group.. juniors were very dedicated n i left ntg but memory in orchestra..

2 months plus before i left ukm, i join cgr as a research assistant n i get to know faeiz n nadia (so call our senior but naughtier den angie n i) not forgetting a bunch of 'crazy' lecturers.. thinking back, it was funny -can remember most of d moments spent in all d 3 workshops vividly.. their jokes, mr.aj's fav line "'Ur highness have arrived'", dr.ck's bubbly attitude n his eagerness to look at d water ferry, dr.bah's laughter which can b heard few miles away, dr.subakir's patient, dr.zarina n her toaster.. all d things dat happened in LSC was very memorable.. i'm such a idiot-shud hav joined d group earlier..

d 4-alwiz-together-crazy r.a... F & N (faiez & nadia), C & C (christina & christina a.k.a angie)-good combination isnt it -dats wat d lecturers hav came out wif.. a soft drink company..

that's about it.. d bits n pieces of my years in uni which left marks in my life, d number of frends i made is infinity, each n every1 of them is special, i will keep them in mind foreva *promise*... in a blink of eye, i'm no longer a student..
