i believe all my teachers i.e primary, secondary, tuiton, piano, er hu, drawing, universities teachers are GREAT TEACHERS errr except 1 or 2 which i wouldnt mention but many successfully educated and shaped me, several left footsteps in me.. their invaluable guidance is wat i appreciate most... their great deal of patience, never ending willingness (as the Malay saying goes bagai lilin yang membakar diri untuk menerangi orang lain suited here best -translation: a candle which consumes itself to light the way for others -) toensure that me and the others reached our maximum potential.. their constant strived to 'coach' every single student in the classroom as they believe we, the learners are not 'ordinary' people..
today, i'm one of them, the educators.. i do not want to be a mediocre teacher who tells but a life-long learner who might breath new life into the dull "spoon-feeding & teacher-knows-it-all" scenarios in M'sia (absolute huge goal).. being genuine & seeing things from a different angle might help in the path i have chosen.
finally, happy teacher's day!!!
p/s: do not opt to be a teacher because u can't be what u planned to be initially.. do not teach because u want to make big money or lead a secure life... bear in mind, dis will not oni ruin ur life but those who are at the receiving end (m'sian students still believe teachers are gods/goddess who know everything)..
